This has been a record year for Reading Australia: not only did our community surpass 20,000 subscribers, but we also published 35 resources in the last 12 months (compared with 21 resources the year before).
As our final news post for the year, we’ve gathered here all 35 resources – 15 for primary teachers and 20 for secondary teachers. Of the secondary units, seven were created through our partnership with The Garret, a podcast series focused on Australian writers. The Garret chose seven women authors to interview about one of their books and we created a unit of work to complement each interview.
Of the 35 resources, 23 are on books by First Nations authors, including a Garret resource on the Miles Franklin award-winning novel Too Much Lip, and both Dark Emu and Young Dark Emu by Bruce Pascoe.
