Nicole Godwin is an award-winning author with a passion for the environment, animal rights and social justice. Her Graduate Diploma in professional writing from the University of Canberra helped create the foundations for four successful picture books to date. Her current studies towards a Masters in Environmental Management is providing a mountain of ideas for future books to help the planet and the animals we share it with.

In February 2021, Jelly-Boy was listed as a Notable book in the Children’s Book Council of Australia’s Awards and in November 2020, Jelly-Boy won the Conservation Awareness for Children category of the Whitley Awards, bestowed by the Zoological Society of NSW. And it’s not all about Jelly-Boy − in 2019, Billie won the ACT Writing an Publishing Award in the children’s category.
