Susanne Gervay grew up in Sydney with her brother and sister and Hungarian parents. She has two children: her son, Jamie, who inspired her popular I Am Jack series, and her daughter, Tory. She writes about bullying, blended families and the migration and refugee experience.
She also runs the Hughenden Hotel with her family. The boutique hotel, located in Sydney, is the official home of the Society for Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) Australia and New Zealand.

Cathy Wilcox is a children’s book illustrator and cartoonist. She works for such newspapers as Sydney Morning Herald and the Age. Some of her books include the I Am Jack series, the Ella Kazoo series, and Enzo the Wonderfish.
