Publisher's synopsis
Wandjuk Marika: Life Story is the autobiography of one of Australia’s greatest indigenous statesmen, artists and religious leaders: champion of Land Rights, poet, singer, dreamer and outstanding artist. This major literary work reveals the beauty and integrity of Aboriginal English in an oral narrative which describes Wandjuk’s feelings and observations as he moves between very different worlds – from grandmaster of sacred ceremonies to the political forums and art galleries of the world.
