For entry into Copyright Agency’s Reading Australia ‘Tim Winton classics’ giveaway (the Giveaway)

Entry into the Giveaway is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.


The Giveaway will be live from 15 August 2022 until 5pm (AEST) 18 September 2022.


The winner of the Giveaway will receive TWELVE (12) Tim Winton books as follows: 1. Cloudstreet; 2. Blueback; 3. Breath; 4. Dirt Music; 5. That Eye, the Sky; 6. In the Winter Dark; 7. An Open Swimmer; 8. Eyrie; 9. The Shepherd’s Hut; 10. The Riders; 11. Shallows; 12. Three Plays. The prize is non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash.

Entry criteria

The Giveaway is for ONE (1) Reading Australia subscriber who emails and correctly names one of the two central families in Cloudstreet. Entrants should include their full name (first and last name), state and school name in the email and use the subject line ‘Tim Winton classics’.

Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or older. Employees of Copyright Agency, immediate family members of employees, and employees of any company associated with the Giveaway are ineligible to enter.

Entrants must be subscribed to Reading Australia. Entrants may enter the Giveaway once only. Entry into the Giveaway is free.


Entrants are required to provide their full name and email address so that the winner of the Giveaway can be notified. By providing your contact details you consent to enter the Giveaway. The personal details of entrants will be handled in accordance with Copyright Agency’s privacy policy. In the event that you are selected as a winner, you consent to:

  • your contact details being handled in accordance with Copyright Agency’s privacy policy;
  • being contacted by Copyright Agency so that your prize can be sent to your best postal address;
  • your first name and the initial of your surname being published on Reading Australia’s website.

Prize draw

The Giveaway winner will be selected by Copyright Agency Limited (ABN 53 001 228 799) of Level 12, 66 Goulburn Street, Sydney NSW 2000.

Copyright Agency will identify eligible Giveaway entries according to the above Entry Criteria. The Giveaway winner will be randomly drawn from the eligible entries. A digital record of the Giveaway will be maintained for up to FIVE (5) years.

Copyright Agency will attempt to contact the selected winner by email within FIVE (5) business days of the Giveaway closing date. Once a winner has been successfully contacted, Copyright Agency will post the prize to the winner within FIVE (5) business days.

If, for any reason, Copyright Agency is unable to establish contact with a selected winner within TEN (10) business days, the selected winner will forfeit the prize and Copyright Agency will select a replacement winner.

Copyright Agency is required to publish the winner’s first name and initial of their surname. These will be published on Reading Australia’s website in a separate news post.
