The first year of Morris Gleitzman’s two-year term as the Australian Children’s Laureate is drawing to a close, and we are commemorating the occasion with a competition!
What’s the prize?
One lucky school will receive a book prize pack valued at over $580! It includes all thirty-three books on this fabulous poster, celebrating the books written by Gleitzman across his 30-year career as a children’s book writer.
A further 100 schools will receive a book prize pack that includes the first 60 pages of Gleitzman’s newest book, Help Around the House (the last page of the sample book includes a special note just for educators!), plus a copy of the poster for your library or classroom.
These prizes were generously donated by Penguin Random House.
Who can enter?
The competition is open to both primary and secondary students. We encourage teachers and librarians to submit their students’ entries on behalf of their students.
How do I enter?
To enter the competition, simply tell us in 25 words or less who your favourite character is from any book by Morris Gleitzman and why.
Send in your students’ entries to readingaustralia@copyright.com.au – don’t forget to include the student’s name, year group and the name of their school.
Make sure to get your entries in by 5 p.m. EST on Thursday 15 November 2018!
