In commemoration of World Poetry Day on 21 March, we are running a poetry competition for primary and secondary students with two fabulous books to win in each category! World Poetry Day, proclaimed by UNESCO in 1999, celebrates the reading, writing and performance of poetry.
How do my students enter?
- Challenge your students to write a poem between five and eight lines long about any topic.
- Send in your students’ entries to firstname.lastname@example.org – please include the student’s name, year group and the name of your school.
What’s the prize?
Plus, each of the winning student’s schools will receive the same set of books for their school library!
