It’s time to get creative! We are challenging students to design a new book cover for any title on the Reading Australia website. This challenge marks our third and last round of our competition run in partnership with the Australian Library and Information Association.

Students are to choose any book from the Reading Australia list and design a different book cover for it. Inspiration can come from the plot, a particular theme or a class activity – just make sure you’re creating a new book cover and not recreating the current cover. The new design can take any form: a collage, pencil drawing, painting, a computer generated illustration – your imagination is the limit!

What is the prize?

We will award five $100 Booktopia vouchers to students and another five vouchers to their school libraries.

Who can enter?

The competition is open to both primary and secondary students. We encourage teachers and librarians to submit their students’ entries on behalf of their students.

How do I enter?

  1. Download the competition poster to put up in your classroom or school library.
