Following the success of last year’s inaugural Literature Symposium, the Foundation for Learning and Literacy has brought together an even bigger group of like-minded organisations to advocate for the power and pleasure of stories!

Spearheaded by the Foundation for Learning and Literacy, the 2023 Literature Symposium will see 14 organisations with a focus on education, literacy, drama and young people come together to offer a brand new series of FREE online presentations.

‘Reading for pleasure is really important, and owning quality literature is correlated with high achievement and, of course, with social and emotional wellbeing,’ says Professor Robyn Ewing of the the Foundation for Learning and Literacy.

‘This year’s symposium presents another opportunity to think about how important quality literature is in our lives and for our learning.’

The symposium begins on Wednesday 10 May, with the final video releasing on Wednesday 8 November. Reading Australia’s session has been scheduled for Wednesday 19 July. Other participating organisations include:
